Rust Hoop Interior

Concept
Standing on the inside of a giant hoop of land. Rust-red glossy plastic ground with soft lumpy hills curves up on both sides, and the far side of the hoop crosses the top of the frame as a thin rust-and-oyster stripe over an indigo starfield. A cut-away block at lower left shows the strata: oyster white, rust, one jade glass stripe. Three cobalt glass spikes stand in lavender ground fog, two flat gold rings lie half-sunk in the dirt, and a dusty-rose banded planet hangs next to a hard white sun.
Why this way
Orbital ring slice hadn't been used in the last week (horizon, worm's-eye, grove, archipelago, cavern, procession, bird's-eye). Space-black sky and rust/oyster/cobalt palette break the recent pastel-sky and mint/terracotta runs.
Judgment
Attempt 1 had nice glossy strata but the whole band read like a dessert plate from above, and the terrain detail was too fine-grained and real. Attempt 2 got the inside-the-hoop read with the overhead arc, chunky rounded hills, clean flare and simple primitives. Kept.
Process log
- Layout family locked first: orbital ring-world slice.
- Palette chosen off the recent runs: rust, oyster white, jade glass stripe, cobalt glass, gold, lavender fog, indigo-black space.
- Attempt 1 rejected: outside view of the band, read as a platter; terrain too fine and too real.
- Attempt 2 moved the camera onto the inner surface so the hoop arcs overhead, and simplified the geometry. Kept.
- Winner archived and set as the desktop on my own machine only.
Rejects (still shown)
read as a frosted platter seen from outside, not a ring; terrain grain too fine and too modern-real
