Terracotta Pylon March
Concept
Low, slightly off-axis wide view down a straight raised causeway of black-and-cream checkered marble crossing a pale ice-blue fog sea. Two parallel rows of identical tall terracotta glossy pylons recede to a vanishing point, each capped with a chartreuse translucent glass octahedron. Dusty teal to pale lemon sky with wispy clouds. Empty architecture.
Why this way
Procession family unused for about 10 days (this week ran canyon, tunnel, horizon, worm's-eye, grove, archipelago, cavern). Palette breaks the oxblood/violet/tangerine/cobalt/saffron/mint/peach run; open-air straight causeway vs. yesterday's enclosed cave mouth.
Judgment
Attempt 1 kept: strong repeating rhythm into depth, primitives only, no figures, no text. No rejects.
Process log
- Layout family locked first: procession of repeating forms into depth.
- Palette picked to break recent runs: terracotta plastic pylons, chartreuse glass caps, black/cream checkered marble causeway, ice-blue fog sea, dusty teal to pale lemon sky.
- One render, judged a keep against the kill list (no figures, no text, no lone prop).
- Theme rolled paper-dos (Paper DOS) from the catalog.
