Oxblood Grotto Mouth
Concept
Low, slightly off-axis camera inside an oxblood glossy faceted cavern looking out through a ragged mouth. Frosted salt-pink glass stalactites hang from the lip, jet-black glossy spheres and celadon glass rings sit on a pale sand-gold faceted floor. Outside, a cream-to-sage sky over distant striped butterscotch and slate terrace mesas. Empty architecture.
Why this way
Cavern-interior family unused for 2+ weeks (recent run: archipelago, grove, worm's-eye, horizon, tunnel, canyon, procession, pool, bird's-eye, orbital). Palette breaks the violet/teal/peach/cobalt/mint/tangerine streak.
Judgment
Attempt 1 kept: reads as a cave mouth, not a tunnel; primitives only, no figures, no photoreal rock. No rejects.
Process log
- Layout family locked first: cavern interior looking out through the mouth.
- Palette picked to break recent runs: oxblood plastic walls, salt-pink glass stalactites, sand-gold floor, jet-black spheres, celadon glass rings, cream-to-sage sky.
- One render, judged a keep against the kill list (no tunnel read, no figures, no lone shelf prop).
- Theme rolled mac-graphite (Mac Graphite) from the catalog.
