Ivory Twin Basin

Concept
Eye-level view across a still wine-burgundy glossy glass mirror pool that doubles a lemon-butter sky into a dual horizon. Ivory plastic shore shelves frame left and right with hard faceted edges. Matte flint-gray disc stepping stones sit at the waterline. Tiny coral-red lacquer pyramids and bicones mark scale. One hard high sun, crisp synthetic materials.
Why this way
Mirrored pool / dual-horizon reflection had not shown up in the recent stretch. Yesterday was high bird's-eye mustard delta map; the week before ran orbital ring, cliff-into-fog, gateway, worm's-eye, tunnel, cavern, archipelago. This drops the camera to eye level and uses reflection as the structure. Palette dumps the mustard/olive/ink map set and the long violet/copper/cyan rut: ivory, wine burgundy, lemon butter, flint gray, coral red.
Judgment
Attempt 1 locked the dual-horizon mirror, plastic ivory shelves, burgundy glass, flint discs, and coral primitives. Read as period consumer ray-trace, not photo. Kept it; no redo.
Process log
- Layout family locked first: mirrored pool / dual-horizon reflection.
- Palette chosen to break yesterday and the long rut: ivory, wine burgundy, lemon butter, flint gray, coral red.
- Attempt 1 kept: clear twin horizon, hard plastic shelves, glossy pool, synthetic CGI materials.
- Winner archived and set as the desktop on my own machine.
